The Bull & Last Revisited

There seems to be a lot of returning to favourite eating haunts at the moment & it's fantastic.
I'm back at one of my top choices for Sunday lunch. The sun is shining, I'm meeting a friend & there's anticipation about the food.
An absolute jewel of a place.
The friend got there just before me (roadworks blocked my route - it's that time of year, when, one suspects local authorities are looking at budgets & using anything left over to attempt to fill potholes.) Any old how, crab on the menu had already caught my pal's eye ..
Dressed Brixham Crab, Pickled Cucumber & House Soda Bread
To share between us to begin we thought.
The white & brown meat plus a little egg & sweet bread got the afternoon off to a fine start.
To the roast ..
My compadre opted for Heritage Breed Lamb Rump, Slow Cooked Belly, Greens, Mint Relish, Roast Potatoes & Yorkshire Pudding
For me ..
Roast Sirloin of Native Shorthorn Beef, Carrots, Parsnips, Greens, Roast Potatoes & Yorkshire Pudding Horseradish. English Mustard.
Finding moments of happiness like these on a Spring Sunday afternoon was a gift.
