Roman Restorative Breakfast

Apparently it was the ancient Romans who first introduced us to scrambled eggs.

And straight roads.

It's been the longest of weeks with an early morning drive to Leeds (not me I hasten to add, I was blessed to be in the back seat.) ..

Up at 0400 & arrived at my work destination at 1000.

A stroll around the city after prep had been done.

I am here to present some awards to amazing people who work with the UK's orchestras. It's been the most difficult of times for extraordinary musicians & those who make sure that concerts can happen - live or digitally.

Honours delivered I head back to my hotel. There's an hour of Gogglebox & then I'm up for the 0715 train back to Kings Cross.

Over 2 nights there was 6 hours sleep - max.

I'm tired. Let's have some breakfast in a café before returning to the coal face.

Scrambled Egg on Sourdough.

Pointless greenery but the rest was good.

It was needed & kept me going for the next 8 hours.
