The last weekend in September &, in Nottingham, we were blessed with glorious sunshine.

A final serving of late summer warmth to store for colder days.

The Saturday promises two reunions - one over lunch & the other over supper

There's something that I love about researching restaurants and their menus. This was the choice for the first get-together:

The two of us over-ordered. Of course we did.

We managed most of it although we were offered a doggy bag. On the table:

Catalan Bread (Tomatoes & garlic)

Padron Peppers

Triple Cooked Patatas Bravas & Aioli

Heritage Tomatoes, Peas, Broad Beans, Shiso

Mushroom Croquetas & Truffle Sauce

Beetroot, Cashew & Orange

Tuna Carpaccio, Cucumber & Avocado

All very fresh & tasty.

World set to rights & then it's time to part.

A rest for me & then in the blink of an eye it is evening time.

Nottingham excels at curry houses. Many have won & been nominated in the British Curry Awards.

The choice of establishment for three of us was:

https://www.calcutta-club.co.uk

Karwari Chicken (Boneless Thighs with Masala, Fresh Coconut & Sun-dried Kashmiri Red Chillies)

Tadka Daal (Lentils simmered with Roasted Cumin, Red Chillies, Pan-Fried Garlic & Tomatoes)

Steamed Basmati Rice

Garlic Naan

I could have eaten this meal thrice over.

Oh & it was Freshers Week. The walk back home was interesting with many sights to behold.
