Life on the Road III

The joy of lunch near the water.
A Sunday lunch at that.
Here: https://thelarderhouse.com
This is my second visit & my friend called ahead & requested the same table we ate at before.
The food, the service, the setting - second to none.
It felt like time had stood still from the two years since our last visit. Our server (& we think one of the owners) was the same jolly, extremely helpful & friendly woman we'd encountered before. How's this for honesty .. I was treating us to a bottle of bubbles & asked her, of the three bottles of Cava on the drinks menu, which would she recommend.
"The cheapest, it's the house bottle & my favourite. Having said that, my husband doesn't like it. I'll bring you a bottle, try it & if you don't enjoy it, no problem, I’ll get you something else.”
We tried, we liked, we had it.
Your Sunday menu looks like this ..

I vowed not to have bread pre-roast. Then another server arrived offering what he called 'Good Bread' ..
"It's a mix of focaccia & ciabatta with some spices .."
It was warm.
There was beef dripping on the side as your butter.
Vow? What vow?
Only a small piece. Or two. We took the rest home with us.
Everything, I mean everything from the welcome to the drinks, the roast to the farewell was perfect here.
We got the bus back to Poole & secured seats on the top deck, at the front.
The sun was still shining.
We all had mini-naps on the journey home.
We'd deserved them.
