Sausage & Gnocchi Bake
There's something very pleasing about a tray bake.
Lovely things seasoned & oiled in a hot receptacle suitable for your oven. Not much washing up to do either.
Today, for me, it's going to be Venison & Red Wine Sausages with some Peppers.
Oh & some Gnocchi.
In the same pan.
WHAT?
Let's try it then.
For two
Oven 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6
1/2 Red Pepper cut into chunks
1/2 Yellow Pepper ditto
1 Red Onion cut into wedges
5 Garlic Cloves peeled
125g Gnocchi
2 Good Quality Sausages
1 tbsp Olive Oil
Seasoning
Toss together your peppers, onion wedges, garlic & gnocchi in the oil with & season before placing into a spacious baking tray
Pop the sausages on the top of all of your veggie & pasta goodness
Roast for 30 minutes until the bangers are brown and the rest of the tray mates are soft & slightly crispy on the edges
The gnocchi turned into mini roast potatoes.
The residue oil in the tray was a joy to drizzle over the sausages.
