Market Days in Lyon
When I'm away from home & on holiday one of the joys is the exploring of local food markets.
Lyon has a great choice of them ..

My time here was limited but, by chance, I stumbled across this outdoor beauty at the end of a walk along Rue Victor Hugo.
Apart from a few exceptions this is mainly like any other High Street you'll find anywhere now - vape shops, cheap clothing outlets, mobile phone stores .. etc .. except that ..
I found unexpected joy at the end of the road. Marché des producteurs de pays - The Countryside Producers Market. It opens from 4pm until 7pm from Wednesday onwards.
26 stalls bursting with fruits, vegetables, cheeses, yoghurts, eggs, meats, poultry, fish, charcuterie, bread, honey, juices, wine & bread
There were queues for everything on offer.
I had to remind myself that I wasn't at home in Blighty & to stop myself from picking up supplies to cook supper that night.
This market was glorious to walk around &, on the next visit, I hope to be exploring the rest of Lyon's Marché aux Puces.
