'Say Cheese'
Or .. s'il te plait dis fromage.
For the first time in ages I was back in Marylebone for a supper & for a browse around one my favourite bookshops ..

I could have whiled away the afternoon there. I bought this little gem for my friend from there ..

It looks like a splendid read.
Oysters are not on our menu this evening, however. C'est des escargots ..

We both had the same to eat ..
Six Escargots avec Beurre & Ail - Garlic & Butter followed by Plat du Jour - Beef Bourguignon
Then this conversation happened ..
Came the question: "Would you like some dessert? We replied:
"We'll have a look but probably not, thanks."
"Maybe some cheese?"
Both of us: "Yes please."
WE WERE WEAK.
Some Pinot Noir & a cheeky Cognac also made for a perfect supper.
I always loved French. Such a beautiful & melodious language. Plus, an important language of cooking, right?
