The Love Of A List

There's a heavy weekend of heat ahead.

I repel a heatwave like I would a rabid dog.

Don't mind it (much) on a holiday but, in London Town, it can be ghastly to deal with the heat & today it's 34 degrees.

So I have been planning my weekend menus since .. well .. Thursday.

The list was started. There's something so satisfying about constructing an inventory & then ticking off your tasks upon it.

There was an early trip to shop for food goodies this morning. Bumped into a neighbour who had had the same idea.

Me: "Hello .. too hot isn't it & only 0800?" ..

Neighbour: "Hello, isn't it, I thought to myself, just get out early, get back in home again, shut the doors & blinds & relax." ..

Me: "100%. I'm on the same plan & not ruling out a nap either!" ..

Here's what'll be happening later then ..

I'm thinking this: https://minhallandjones.com/blog/2022/7/3/sardinian-linguine-with-pecorino-mascarpone-amp-lemon

There's an added little luxury of some prawns (pre-cooked) to pop in at the last moment.

Plus, on the side ..

Greek Salad

This is just for me

4 or 5 slices of a peeled red onion, a handful of your favourite olives, Feta, cubed, (20g should do it but don't be shy), a quarter of a cucumber, peeled, halved & deseeded and chopped, some small tomatoes & a sprinkling of dried oregano.

The evening will be a little cooler & there'll be a tasty, summery meal ahead.

Bob's (Robert's) your uncle.
