Time to head north.
Time to be back with great friends.
Time to be back in the land of magnificent bridges, monarchs, molluscs, distilleries & coastlines.
Oh & golf.
There was only one of those I was disinterested in.
So, in the morning a short walk to a local fish smokehouse supplier for a Friday supper ..

Fantastic place. The lovely waft of the beauties of the sea being smoked greets you even before you pass through their door.
On the table at home for the three of us in the evening was Smoked Mackerel, (with pepper & also without), Smoked Trout, Hot Smoked Salmon & Smoked Salmon. Perfection. There was a sweetness to the smokiness of everything on that plate. To accompany there were fine breads from Pittenweem's artisan bakery GH Barnett.
Butter. Lemon.
Fizz.
A perfect start to a few foodie days in Fife.
