Friends Reunion IV - The One Where We Celebrated Birthdays
AG & I are both June babies.
We couldn't get together for a midsummer feast hence getting together in August.
The venue is one of our favourite places to meet & eat. We were last here in the autumn of 2020: https://minhallandjones.com/blog/2020/9/13/tables-amp-tales
This time it's the legendary Sunday lunch we're seeking.
Pre-prandials to begin proceedings. Two Vodka Martinis. One dry (me), the other, dirty, (AG).
A starter to share (I'm weedy & get full quickly, Robert can confirm this).

It was just enough. Light and delicious with a little heat from the horseradish
There was no hesitation as to what would be coming next

I wanted to ask the waiting staff, (who are fantastic incidentally), if I could just move in & eat here forever
Bedfellows for the banquet
Maldición, Tinto de Valdilecha, Madrid Spain ‘19 Tempranillo, Malvar
Chianti ‘Podere della Filandra’ Buccianera ‘18 Sangiovese
You know what's coming next don't you?
No puddings were required except that they were apparently.
Ferrero Rocher Ice Cream & a Brownie one, too.

Two cheeky & gratuitous Espresso Martinis to conclude the day here: https://www.thevinenw5.co.uk
A very happy, albeit belated, birthday to both of us.
