All The Trimmings

I have a friend who cannot bear to use the 't' word at this time of year.

"They're much more than that .." He says.

I'm inclined to concur, but, trimmings are what we know them as.

Today there was a Christmas lunch at work & it was delicious.

I had to do a takeaway version due to commitments but that did not digress from the joy of my first festive fayre of the season.

There was proper metal cutlery & napkins.

Succulent turkey, splendid meaty pigs in blankets, (Robert drools), tasty stuffing, sweet carrots & parsnips & good roast spuds & gravy.

Generous servings, too. It took me a good hour to get through it.

Post-meal, I could have done with a little nap. I decided against it.

It would not have been a good career move.
