To Enfield on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with one of my oldest friends.

Her choice of restaurant this time around & it's here ..

Neither of us had been here before but were eager to try particularly as the seafood & shellfish dishes looked so tempting.

Not to mention the prices.

Main courses at some London restaurants are now nudging £40. Add a starter, wine, service - well - that's getting hefty wallet-wise.

A warm & friendly welcome awaited us at Judges. Patient waiters, too, as we chatted away before turning our attention to the business of the menus.

My compadre went for Tomato Bruschetta followed by Swordfish with Dauphinoise Potato, Asparagus & Tomato Salsa.

For myself, it was the lunch menu with two courses for £23.95.

Let's just revisit that. £23.95 for two courses.

To begin, Cornish Crab & Avocado Salad with Marie Rose & Sourdough.

Afterwards, Crispy Chicken Milanese with a Greek Salad.

Absolutely outstanding food. There was plenty on all of the plates, too. What outstanding value.

We nearly dismissed pudding ..

"No room."

"Think I'm okay, actually."

"Ladies, anything else for both of you?"

Came the response ..

"Lemon Tart with Strawberry Ice Cream please. Two spoons."

It came to pass.

A wonderful place to visit if you're ever in the neighbourhood.

£23.95 for lunch.

Thank you Judges.
