Feel The Noizé
As Noddy Holder & Slade once sang ..
Come On Feel The Noise.
Or, in my case, come on inside the Noizé ..

My first visit to this restaurant in London's Fitzrovia will not be my last.
The doors opened for the first time 7 years ago & the owner, Mathieu Germond, said that he wanted to bring a French, rustic & convivial atmosphere. 10 out of 10 on every count.
From the Noizé website ..
'Mathieu was brought up in the Loire Valley region in France. His grandparents ran a farm in the tiny village of Noizé.
His formative years were filled with what he learnt during that time, developing his love of wine and the sheer pleasure of sharing food around a table. Mathieu hopes to create some of these sensations, tastes and experiences in the restaurant.'
The welcome was so warm & then we were given the choice of table. We opted for a corner with a window and a view of the kitchen. A great spot too for the watching & judging of others (discreetly, always).
The menu is delivered chalked upon a blackboard & rested on a chair for your perusal.
On another muggy evening both of us have no hesitation in choosing a chilled soup sometimes called the 'White Gazpacho.'
Ajo Blanco, Smoked Almond, Apple Grape, Celery
For the mains, my cousin decides to have Roasted John Dory, Ragout of Chickpea, Chorizo and Piquillo Pepper, Chamomile Sauce
I'm tempted by everything on the menu but finally plump for this - Slow-Cooked Lamb Neck, Courgette, Ewe Yogurt, Jersey Royal
Hand on heart, I think this is the best lamb dish I have ever had.
The wine list is comprehensive, very accessible and help is readily at hand when it comes to making decisions.
Even your puds come with drinks recommendations. It was cheese for us girls ..
Blue Cheese with a Glass of 2017 Vouvray Demi-Sec, Loire Valley
Comte Cheese with a Glass of Dry Jura
Having arrived at just after 6pm my cousin & myself were truly aghast when we realised it was now after 10pm. There had been a lot of chatting going on as well as relishing our food & drink. So it was time to part company & head home.
I can't wait to return to experience Noizé again.
