Whitstable Fun in the Sun II

It's Day Two in Whitstable & the sun is trying hard to shine.

Try harder.

Regardless of weather conditions, I'm off out for a beach walk. Destination tbc.

First a hearty breakfast at my hotel - sausage, bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, beans & toast.

Back to the room to clean up bean spillage on t-shirt, jeans & shoe.

S H O E ?

How did that happen?

Apart from a few hounds & their guardians, a couple of swimmers, several cyclists & other walkers, it was just me & the Thames Estuary.

Two hours later I find myself in Herne Bay with its beautiful Victorian Clock Tower & Pier.

Some postcards bought, almost tempted to peep inside the Seaside Museum but there's a bus back to Whitstable calling me.

Top deck Front seat. I'm a kid again.

Once home, a spruce up & suddenly realised that I've caught a bit of sun.

There's a short hop to my eating destination, a place I was at just a few weeks ago. This time, I'm flying solo.

A lovely welcome & a big table all to myself right by the window so I can watch the world pass by.

Plus, read the day's news about the General Election being called for July.

I'm hungry after my long walk.
