There are a few areas regarding food that myself and AMM agree to differ ….

Meat + Fruit being one of them. (RJ Yes, AMM No)

Fruit + Cheese being another. (RJ Yes, AMM No.)

Oysters (AMM Yes, RJ Oh no no no no.)

So I think my latest discovery will prompt a long wailing from AMM across the whole of North London.

But…

I refer the honourable lady to the taste dictionary which says - yes, no problem. You can have Black Pudding with Rhubarb, no really you can, honest, not fibbing.

But I suppose one need only think of Black Pudding and Apple which go together well… and … and … I can’t think of anything else.

Anyhow … It came to mind during a rather repetitive bus ride this week, and then took physical form in my kitchen the next day. For me it works.

The sharpness of the stewed Rhubarb, certainly to my palate, compliments the ‘thuddyness’ of the Black Pudding - in much the same way as smothering BP with Tommy Ketch does.

I chose to eat them in a wrap … and that worked too.

Anyway - Just leaving it there.

And if you can hear a wailing in London, you know what it is.
