"Plates of food you just can’t forget." ..
The words of one of my favourite food critics, Jay Rayner, about one of my favourite fish restaurants.
Parsons - which is tucked away in Covent Garden, London.
I've written about this wondrous place before:

Now it's time to introduce it to one of my oldest & best friends..
From start to finish we were so well looked after & enjoyed the most brilliant food.
Drinks to begin & I invited my companion to try a Black Velvet - Guinness & Champagne - he was intrigued.

So then, to our lunch ..
Guinness Bread & Butter
Marinated Anchovies, Pickled Chilli
Smoked Cod’s Roe, Seaweed Crackers
Green Salad, Parmesan, Guinness Crumb
Potted Shrimp Croquettes
Cod Cheeks in Batter
Octopus Carpaccio
Parsons is still one of my cherished spots to go to for lunch or supper.
The food, the service, the setting - all impeccable.
My friend can't wait for a return visit. Nor can I.
