The Delish Delilah Deli
Whenever I find myself in my old home city of Nottingham, I usually lay my head at the Lace Market Hotel: https://www.lacemarkethotel.co.uk/gallery
Just around the corner is where breakfast is taken: https://delilahfinefoods.co.uk/pages/delilah
Delilah is a cornucopia of culinary pleasure.
My favourite place to sit is on the ground level near to the kitchen & to watch the activity as well as being surrounded by an Aladdin's cave of delicatessen treats.
A Meat & Charcuterie Counter (Fruit Pig Black Pudding anyone?)
A Cheese & Dairy Counter (Colston Bassett, obviously, it's made just a few miles away)
Outstanding Local Bread: https://www.welbeckbakehouse.co.uk
Plus there are Oils, Vinegars, Sweet Treats, Teas & Coffees
During my last trip I treated myself to Scrambled Eggs on Toast one morning & on another for a brunch, their Pâté on Toast. Everything on the menu sounds delicious &, from what I have sampled so far, is.
Robert & I are trying to plan a trip to Nottingham before the end of the year & this will be the first place we'll visit.
For now though, it was time for me to head home on the 12:12 from one of the country’s finest railway stations.
