A Saturday lunch to meet an old friend for a veggie first.

Lunch at Mildreds

Glad to have booked as it was an hour's wait if you were hoping for a walk-in.

I had looked through the menu days before & was unsure as to what I would be ordering.

The Lychee Martini to start brought a smile to my face.

My companion had also been checking out the menu & reviews for the food.

Her choice was the Soul Bowl (or the Super Bowl as I kept calling it):

SOUL BOWL goji carrot quinoa, kale, sesame mushrooms, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cashew butter. We shared some Hummus and comforting warm bread to begin with apricot amba & apricot harissa.

For me, I asked the waiter for advice & his recommendation was: BHATTI KA CHICK’N KEBABS pomegranate carrot kachumber, jeera yoghurt, pumpkin pickle.

The service was fantastic. Warm, funny & helpful people.

All was well but I kind of wish I had gone for something that was not a meat substitute.

There's always next time.
