The Kingdom Of Fife - III
The feast in the East Neuk of Fife continued .. (see last post) ..
Time for the main events ..
The candles got lit in the East Pier Smokehouse as the sun was dipping below St Monans Church.
Johnny Cash once played live there .. That is a true story.

Anyway .. there were deliberations as to what would be gracing the plates for the main courses.
First choice for one friend which had been discussed since the early morning was ..
Hot Smoked Sea Bass - a whole fish with Apple, Onion & Pink Peppercorn Chutney
The choice for the next friend?
Oh .. Crab Cakes ..
Drool .. They came with Cucumber, Dill & Yoghurt.
For me?
Well, I was torn & decided that when the time came to make a decision on the spot, I would just come out with one of two dishes ..
"What would you like next ..?"
"The hake please .."
Smoked Roast Hake with a Bean & Olive Salad.
Gratuitous chips were ordered for all of us. To share, obviously.
All of it. Wonderful. The food, the view, the friends - the best.
There was no room for puds or cheese. Maybe next time.
There was a little space left for a digestif once home & the labrador had been walked.
