For RJ it's Shannon, for me, it's Heathrow's T5.

For both of us when flying away together somewhere it's always a platter of smoked salmon, brown bread, butter & wedges of lemon.

Oh, and a pointless few lettuce leaves.

And Champagne, which is never pointless. In our latest podcast, RJ shares the joy of comfort food at Shannon Airport.

For me, when travelling alone, which is usually from T5, it has to be Fortnum & Mason.

I'm slowly but surely working my way through the menu. Regardless of the time of day or night, there's always something good, actually beyond good, to eat here.

It ain't cheap but, hey, I'm on holiday.

Here's what's been sampled to date. Not all in one sitting you understand.

Boiled Burford Brown Egg & Soldiers

Avocado & Chilli on Toast

Welsh Rarebit Toastie with Tomato Compote

Croque Monsieur with Dijon Mustard Mayonnaise

Seasonal British Oysters (3)

Fortnum’s Cure Smoked Salmon with Crème Fraîche & Rye Bread

Mushrooms & Tarragon on Toast

On a very special occasion ..

Golden Oscietra Caviar with Hot Buttered Toast

There's always some chilled fizz to accompany whatever is on the plate. Plus proper tea to finish.

I'm a nervous flier but never after a visit to F&M.

When we can travel safely & confidently again, I want to take RJ here & treat him to a slap up breakfast/lunch/supper.
