The Joy of Eggs
Grown up egg and soldiers.
On a day away from the coal face, it was a chance for a proper breakfast. It's a meal I don't usually bother with. I'm not very hungry in the mornings unless I'm on holiday. Robert & myself, when away, always make a plan to meet up for the hotel early offerings.
One year we think sampled cat milk. That's for another time.
And so this morning I decided to revisit a childhood treat.
Two softly boiled eggs, these were Maran Island Browns, four & a half minutes in a pan of boiling water
Heavily buttered toast, Marmite Loaf bread used
Sea Salt on the top of the eggs/toast or both
I did both.
Amber yolks + thick, buttery toast + salt crystals + teaspoon + wireless on = a good start to the day.
