Advent Calendar - Day 12 - Reflection

It's not always an easy time of year when you take an opportunity to look back.

The family & friends you miss or have lost & still love so much.

And then .. what has passed in the last 12 months.

2020.

One part of the season of Advent is about focusing on trying to help others.

This is from Pope Francis:

“When you live for things, things are never enough, greed grows and others become obstacles in the race and so you end up feeling threatened and always dissatisfied and angry - 'I want more, I want more, I want more'. One has many goods, but no good is done.”

There are so many charities in our country which are needed more than ever this year.

Food banks, shelters for those with nowhere to rest their head safely or who have no one to turn to for support. Crucial charities are adapting this Christmas to try to ensure there's some succour for the most vulnerable people facing hardship.

Reckon we can all lend a helping hand.
